Product Care
Stainless Steel:
Keep stainless steel surfaces clean. Do not allow liquids, food particles, dirt, or other debris to remain on the surface for long periods, as this can lead to staining and promote bacterial growth.
Wood & Butcher Block Tops:
Wood is a natural material and may expand or contract with changes in humidity and dryness, which can occasionally cause small seasonal checks (tiny cracks), often near the ends of boards or laminations. This is a normal characteristic of solid wood and part of its natural beauty. If needed, these checks can be filled with a properly tinted cellulose filler, making them nearly invisible.
To help preserve your butcher block top:
- Maintain consistent humidity in your home, especially during winter.
- Refresh often with Boos Mystery Oil and/or Boos Block Board Cream.
- Oil all surfaces of your butcher block with Boos products at least once every 3–4 weeks, depending on use and household conditions.
With proper care and maintenance, your butcher block or wood tabletop will stay protected, retain its beauty, and last for many years.
